Precious! How was the birth?

Thanks, ladies! In the end the birth was lovely. She was on various induction procedures for three days, but the hospital was gracious to let her keep on keeping on. She had planned a home birth but ended up in the hospital due to high bp and being two weeks post dates. I don't know what finally kicked labor in (probably the full moon), but on Tuesday night she started having regular contractions. The hospital was again very gracious to take her off the pitocin, per her request to try and labor naturally. Twelve hours later (only 45 minutes of pushing), with only a little help from pit during active labor, she pushed her baby out with no pain meds. It was really beautiful and we were so proud of her. And so relieved. Those three days were stressful for all of us as we waited to see how things would play out. Phew. Glad they're home safely. And glad I'm all done having babies of my own. Amen.

P.S. Jean - I agree, he looks a lot like Emerson to me. So stinkin' cute.
